Bridge The Gap

HM Prison Service LogoA service delivered in Channings Wood prison funded by the Trusthouse Charitable Foundation with effect from 1st March 2010 until 28th February 2013.


Service provided: Advice and support for prisoners suffering from mental illness and/or emotional distress. The main focus is around introducing strategies for coping with anxiety, depression, low mood, low self-esteem with aims to reduce offending and the barriers to recovery and well-being.

Who can access? Prisoners at HMP Channings Wood via referral.

When is the service open? By appointment Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Are there any charges? No, the service is free.
