Mental Health Training Courses - Plymouth, Devon & Cornwall

When one in four British adults are likely to experience at least one diagnosable mental health problem in any one year, it is certain on a regular basis that all agencies, all services and all businesses will encounter service users or customers who suffer mental distress. It is also certain that every agency, every service and every business will have to support staff who develop mental health issues from time to time. Are you prepared for this? The long-standing stigma around mental health problems means that many people understand little about mental ill health. When they see a loved one or colleague become unwell, often they back off. This only exacerbates the problem. If addressed early, so much mental distress can be resolved with people emerging stronger.

Sadly many services and businesses have not faced up to this important issue. Today in a highly competitive world, it is crucial to be able to deliver high quality services for all of our service users or customers. If recruitment costs and sick pay are high, it is more important than ever, to look after staff to ensure that workplaces are healthy environments where people are empowered to work to their full potential. It is vital that workplaces do not become places of unrelenting pressure which damage staff and frustrate customers when service is not delivered.

Do you understand the causes of mental illness? Do you recognise the symptoms of the most common forms of mental illness? Do you know how to support people with mental health issues? If the answer to any of these questions is 'No', do not worry. You are not alone. We can help you with our affordable and cost effective training courses.

If as a result of attending our training, each person is able to prevent just one staff member going sick with stress, your agency or company could easily get a tenfold return for the cost of training with us!
